The service was very good, no complaints whatsoever. We stayed in the deluxe king room, it was nicely decorated and the bed was big. The personnel were extremely helpful and attentive.

Good location for Forbidden City and main attractions close by. Not easy to find but no problems getting taxis nearby. Accommodation very good, comfortable bed, good toilet facilties

No contact about non availability of room booked for the first night. Substsitute hotel Ok but meant disruption to already booked itinerary. Breakfasts not that good, could have more options for both western and local breakfasts. Stretching description of Mountain view room as this was only available through the bathroom window. I don't believe any room had a clear view, but a minor point

    - Location. Close to Jingshan garden. Can walk across to Jingshan garden or rent a bike a block away and ride to Drum Tower. - Old Chinese courtyard charm. - Spacious room with classic Chinese furniture design. - Hotel sent executives to check on me at the hospital emergency room while I was getting treatment for the scorpion sting. I was also accompanied by a hotel staff in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. - Hotel reimbursed my ambulance and hospital expenses. I didn't have to stay in the hospital. - I was presented a great bouquet of flower the next day after scorpion bite/sting.

    - Got stung by a scorpion in the back of the neck and thumb while taking a shower !!! Had to go to the hospital in the middle of the night. Really painful !!! But I didn't die or lose an arm. Took Chinese medication given at the hospital. The pain (burning, tingling and numbing sensation) slowly subsided over a couple of days. I hope to be able to bend my thumb fully so I can give a thumb-up or thumb-down to anything (or this hotel) soon. - Had to pay the full hotel amount even though the scorpion sting ruined my vacation. - First floor room opens into the courtyard and I was worried about privacy issue since several guests like to sit outside in the courtyard on nice summer days and nights. Thick curtain at the door entrance can be pulled over to isolate the noise outside.
